Elections 2014: Poll panel to deploy special observers for first time

New Delhi: The Election Commission will first deploy special observers to oversee the management of the electoral process in the field to the Lok Sabha elections .

Observers shall monitor the efficient and effective management of the electoral process in the field, especially in regard to the conscience of voters and facilitation, the Election Commission ( CEC) VS Sampath , told a press conference to announce dates of the survey on Wednesday .

“Observers of consciousness is deployed in two phases to seven days each and observe the intervention made by the electoral mechanism to reduce the gap in popular participation in the electoral process, particularly with regard to the participation of the voters,” said .

Observers also handle various aspects of media and mechanism at the district level on the control of the issue of paid news .
