Confident that new regime in India will be committed to cooperation: China
Beijing: China on Monday expressed confidence that the party that comes to power in India after the general election will ” remain committed to ” promote bilateral friendship and cooperation.
Vice Foreign Minister of China, Liu Zhenmin told reporters before his meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Sujatha Singh in Beijing were ” confident” that the promotion of bilateral friendship ” is a shared consensus of all politicians in India “parties . (India Votes 2014 : full coverage)

Liu , who was also the main speaker at the sixth annual strategic dialogue held in the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on Monday also thanked India for holding the annual dialogue despite the general elections in the country . (India Votes : Candidates | List )
“I would like to mention in particular that India is experiencing a very important choice. Therefore you ( Sujatha Singh ) has chosen to come to China at this very special time to have this strategic dialogue with us. This shows the great importance the government of India is connected to this bilateral relationship and we highly appreciate that, ” Liu said.
The annual dialogue , the Chinese minister said the bilateral relationship “has already gone beyond the bilateral scope , and, of course , in addition to bilateral cooperation will also discuss regional and international issues .”
” So we can see three levels of cooperation between India and China on bilateral , regional and international levels . It is a very important bilateral relationship. ”
The Foreign Secretary of India said that the aim of his visit was ” to reiterate the government of China to the Government of India attaches the highest priority to India ‘s relations with China.”
Sujatha Singh said India was “committed to the consolidation of our strategic and cooperative partnership for peace and prosperity.
” The core of our vision is of good neighborly relations based on trust and mutual understanding and which are sensitive to the concerns and aspirations of each.”
He stressed that the annual strategic dialogue held in less than a year , it was ” a symbol of the fact that our relations are growing and our interactions are increasing .”
Intensive consultations on bilateral, regional and international affairs lasted for over five hours .
The two sides expressed satisfaction with bilateral exchanges so far this year and discussed a possible schedule of visits and events throughout the rest of the year in India and China friendly exchanges .
Earlier in the day , Sujatha Singh interacted with Chinese scholars , entrepreneurs and experts in southern Asia several groups of Chinese experts.
It also requested the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi .
