Why you look like hell on some mornings

Why you look like hell on some mornings
A new study has revealed that it comes down to water retention when people end up with red puffy eyes and drooping eyelids and basically looking like hell, after a bad night’s sleep.
Dr. Sherrif F. Ibrahim , University of Rochester Medical Center, told the Huffington Post that since the upper and lower eyelids have the thinnest skin in the body , any change in hydration will be reflected in the skin so easily compared with other skin on the body.
How sleep affects particularly water retention is not yet fully known , Ibrahim said , but speculated it might have something to do with the reason why a person stayed up late the night before, as if they are drinking or party or mourn .
Ibrahim added that dark circles under the eyes can be caused by many reasons, but is dehydrated blood vessels under the skin that are actually responsible for the blackish hue.
