Most Indians still prefer arranged marriages
If one is on a study , Indian couples still like to consider the choice of parents for marriage as 60 percent of weddings are held.
About 600 pairs of metro cities in India participated in the study, carried out by an intermediary service truly Madly.com line .
According to the results, 69 percent of marriages are still arranged compared to only 31 percent of marriages of love.
“Historically , most marriages were arranged by parents , therefore , when we did the survey , we saw this distribution, where arranged marriages are still more active than their loved ones,” Rahul Kumar, co -founder , truth Madly.com , said in a statement.
But he also adds that the new generation is also open to love marriage .
“However , with the new generation increasingly aspirational , the trend is now shifting to love marriages as young people want to make their own decisions ,” he said .
