
The new National Security Policy has decided to establish a national authority to combat terrorism.
ISLAMABAD - PM Nawaz Sharif is set to address the National Assembly , while Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar present National Security Policy on Wednesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Federal Cabinet gave its approval to the National Policy on Internal Security at its meeting . The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif urged the Taliban to renounce terrorist activities without any preconditions.
The meeting of the Federal Cabinet decided that Abdul Qadir Baloch would be focal person for the issue of internally displaced persons ( IDPs) .
It was also decided at the meeting that Abdul Qadir Baloch would be in regular contact with the Federal Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in this regard.
The meeting also discussed important issues, including the law and order situation in the country.
