
Colombo cricket team of Sri Lanka who returned to win the Asian Cup in Bangladesh have received an enthusiastic reception in Colombo on Sunday.
The team paraded in an open seat Sri Lanka cricket where large crowds were crowded along the road from the international airport to greet the champion team bus.
It was the first major international trophy Sri Lanka since they won a series triangular house between India and New Zealand in August 2010.
Sri Lanka beat India in the final played in August 2010. In Asia which concluded in Mirpur on Saturday Cup , Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final to win the trophy. Skipper Angelo Mathews said the team was pleased to annex the Asian Cup he attributes to drive a team .
Speaking to reporters , Mathews for the first time admitted to the contract on the line to go with their employer, SLC .
” Yes, we have a problem and we have not signed contracts . Hoping for a resolution of the issue soon. “
Players require 20 percent of the money from activities of the ICC. Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have not so far responded positively to the request.
SLC sources said they were working on a different formula that would be mutually beneficial to both the administration and the cricketers .
