Tharparkar drought: Sindh govt didn’t reject Punjab assistance offer, says Sharjeel

He thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the federal government for their best steps to help.
KARACHI  - reports Information Minister Sharjeel Memon of Sindh rejected on the Sindh government had refused to accept the offer of assistance from the government of Punjab for drought affected by the Tharparkar district.
Speaking to the media , the minister said that neither the Punjab government extended an offer of this kind, nor the Sindh government rejected that .
“There is a question of accepting or rejecting an offer when not extended ,” he added .
Memon said the provincial government was using all the resources to deal with the situation in Tharparkar .
People in Tharparkar desert area of Sindh, facing famine conditions in most of the areas in which at least 32 malnourished children are reported to have died from food shortages .
At least 193 children have died in Thar in the last three months.
