BJP attempts united front amid talk of Lucknow seat for Rajnath Singh
Lucknow: Though BJP leaders deny reports of profound differences in the run up to national elections , the party appears to be facing more problems on the allocation of constituencies in Uttar Pradesh his best men .
Sources say Lalji Tandon , who represents the Lucknow Lok Sabha , has made clear that he can vacate his seat for prime ministerial candidate of the BJP , Narendra Modi, but will not offer the same favor to party president Rajnath Singh.
However, Mr. Tandon , who is 78, told NDTV this morning that has not been addressed yet make room for Mr. Singh , who said he respected greatly.
Mr. Tandon also said he will respect the decision of his party, but will not seek another electoral district, if in effect, to deny your Lucknow.
Mr. Tandon was elected as MP from Lucknow in 2009. The constituency is prestigious because Lucknow is the capital of India ‘s most populous state, and because for many years , which was represented by the gold standard for leadership of BJP , Atal Bihari Vajpayee .
Yesterday, Murli Manohar Joshi , who represents Varanasi in Parliament , said that if asked , he , as a ” disciplined soldier ” , accept the decision of the BJP to align Mr. Modi in his constituency .
Mr. Joshi, 78, also refuted reports indicated privately that his deep resentment of this perspective for top rung of the party.
Meanwhile, important leader LK Advani denied reports that BJP has criticized for resembling a ” one man show ” for being too focused on Mr. Modi in his campaign.
