
Melbourne : Pace bowler Ryan Harris , who took two wickets late to help win 2-1 test series victory for Australia over South Africa last week , underwent surgery on his right knee and probably will not play up to six months.
Harris bowled Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel in the same course as South Africa , trying to bat a lot, has been seduced by 265 with 27 remaining in the third and deciding Test at Newlands deliveries.
Cricket Australia physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said in a statement Wednesday that Harris had bone fragments in the knee joint removed in surgery Tuesday and that ” we expect a long period of rehabilitation. “
