Wali Khan murder case: 2 sentenced to death, 4 to life imprisonment in historic verdict

This is the first case of this kind , where the perpetrators have been brought to justice .
Shikarpur (Web Desk) : A local anti-terrorism court on Saturday handed over death and life imprisonment to six accused in the murder case of much – speaking of journalist Wali Khan Babar .
In an unprecedented move , the court after a lengthy trial , death sentences announced two accused Kamran alias Zeeshan Faisal Moota and who are still at large . In addition , four Faisal Mehmood Ali namely Rizvi, Shahrukh Naveed Polka and life imprisonment were awarded .
However, one accused Mohammad Shakeel was released by the court on the lack of evidence.
This case became even more critical when six related to the case , including the key witness people were also killed .
Journalists and activists have called a historic movement that Pakistani officials commended the investigative and judicial .
Journalist Wali Babar , who worked for a private news channel , was killed in January 2011 near Liaquatabad , Karachi, on his way home from the office.
